At its Yinnetharra lithium project in Western Australia’s Gascoyne region, Delta Lithium has hit its greatest tenor intercept to date. A 505 square kilometre early-stage exploration project called Yinnetharra has so far discovered six distinct mineralized pegmatites at the Malinda prospect.
The Gascoyne region of Western Australia is home to the 100% owned Yinnetharra Lithium Project, which Delta Lithium Limited (ASX:DLI) is happy to provide an update on. New assay results from the Malinda Prospect’s M36 pegmatite at Yinnetharra continue to reveal exceptional grade mineralisation.
David Flanagan, executive chairman, commented on the outcomes and remarked:
“The Yinnetharra project is a big system, 240 holes in and we have multiple pegmatites defined along 1.6 kilometres of strike, stacked in a package more than a kilometre wide. This is another batch of terrific results. Intercepts like 11 metres at 3% Li2O within 29 metres at 1.5% Li2O also pointing to some very high value mineralisation. Our brilliant exploration team is just getting started and we love what they do.”
“Western Australia became the single biggest lithium producing region on the planet because of the industry’s ability to bring online big spodumene projects quickly. It’s not just an amazing place to explore for minerals”
The Company has finished 240 holes totalling 54,920 metres in Yinnetharra as of this writing. The information released today pertains to 18 RC drill holes that yielded positive results.
Currently being analysed are an additional 95 holes from the Yinnetharra project, and data will be available in batches over the coming months. Additionally, the company is on schedule to finish an additional 100 holes at Yinnetharra before September 2023.
Delta Lithium Recent findings at the Malinda Prospect reveal dense, superior pegmatite. The size of multiple lithium-bearing pegmatites is being rapidly defined by on-site drilling at the Malinda Lithium Prospect.
These findings show the M36 pegmatite’s high mineralisation tenor and continuity.
There is a strong indication of continuity to high-grade results that were intercepted within the M36 pegmatite, which makes the results very noteworthy. About 1.7 kilometres in length, 5-40 metres in width, and 100-300 metres in down dip extent characterise the M36 pegmatite as a continuous pegmatite body.
