Sheffield Resource Bulk Zircon Shipment Departs Broome: Sheffield Resources Limited (ASX: SFX) is delighted to announce a significant milestone achieved by Kimberley Mineral Sands (KMS), a subsidiary of the company. KMS has successfully completed its inaugural bulk shipment from the Thunderbird Mineral Sands Mine located in Western Australia.
The shipment, comprising approximately 10,000 metric tonnes of non-magnetic concentrate, predominantly zircon, along with an additional 1,100 metric tonnes of bagged non-magnetic zircon concentrate, has departed from the Port of Broome. It is destined for delivery to an existing offtake customer.
This marks the commencement of bulk shipments from Thunderbird, with further consignments of non-magnetic zircon, magnetic ilmenite concentrate, and paramagnetic leucoxene products scheduled for dispatch in the forthcoming weeks. These shipments are integral to Thunderbird’s ongoing production ramp-up towards achieving nameplate capacity.
